what the hell is this intake, i have been given many opinions and no facts. i know it's small block chev. but what's up with the crossover. there is no part number on it, the crossover is labeled 1047 SCC, and is cast iron. i think smokey made it in his ba*****t!?!?!? any info would be appreciated. pbfl det.
I don't know, but I'd sure like to have it!!! More info, please. Is this in your possession, or was the photo just gleaned from the internet? By the way, I don't think they have ba*****ts in Florida, the water table being probably three feet down!
it looks like a "$999.99 buy it now" to me....... Tri Power Chevrolet 1955 68 Creitz 3x2 RARE SCTA Nicson RARE! VINTAGE SPEED EQUIPMENT EXCELLENT COND DRAG BOAT
Possibly fits the 348 or 409 Chevy block, late 50's...?? "Goofy" crossover sits beneath carb...so shaped like this to fit in available space...
yeah, it's mine, and yeah it's on ebay right now. i didn't want to sell, but need the dough. parting with cool **** ****s! thanks for all the info, come to think of it i still don't know who made the damn thing.
It looks more sb chev than 348-409 to me. But, yeah, the crossover is kinda odd. I was thinking maybe thay had different styles of crossovers for different types of raceing applications and radiator styles.{???}
it's not 348/409, i have a GM aluminum 409 dual quad, it's definetly not w-head. i am positive it's sbc.
I don't know what it is but it looks like it would make good torque and run consistent on a SBC at a narrow RPM range. I love the ridges to add turbulence on a short manifold with no heat risers. That would be fun to run. The crossover might be a street option for a manifold that looks purpose built to run 1/4 at a time, maybe even dry. Cool piece, Tim
