My 69 bronco rear has the 10 inch drums which measure about 10.5 inches, and my wire wheels are about 10.5 where it meets the drum. Will not go on. I know there are adapters but that puts me out another 1.25 inches on each side. Is there a smaller drum/backing plate out there that will bolt up and let my wires fit over the drum??

Just realized another problem, my stock bronco brakes are 2.5 wide and the only 9 inch brakes I'm finding are 1.75 wide. Anybody know of anything?

28-36 Ford wire wheels are supposed to contact the drum at the outside flange of the center and the hub at the wheel studs.

Yeah I know. Putting the spacers on and wires puts me at 60 inches center of rear tires and that is going to put my tires out to far for a fendered car I think. The bronco rear is 58 flange to flange which is great, but because the way wires are designed, I have to run a spacer which technically makes it 60. Is this two wide for a fendered car??

I believe that the mid 90s ford rangers had 9x 2.5 rear drum brakes.

I would use the spacers and work on a shorter rearend. them wheels need to lay on the drum face and using a smaller drum is asking for trouble. As for your rearend if it is 58 inch outside and 60 with the spacers and it is 2 inch to wide you need a rearend that is 56 inch wide with spacers which will give you 58 inch. 56 inchs is a common size for ford. If your worried about the smaller bolt patterent the spacers will fix that.
