I had to skip this one, I found treasure in one of the usually crappy u-pull-it yards, and I needed to get it before someone else did. So who went? Tell me about all the smokin' deals I missed out on.
The only thing you probally missed was a swap meet without any rain.did not see any really good deals, so i came home pretty well empty in the parts catagory, but with my wallet intact.now i'll save up for the albany swap meet next month.
I walked the whole place twice with my wallet in hand and only spent 50.00 all day had a good laugh at the Hemi prices out there like $500.00 for a disassembled early 331 with all the pieces rusted and some parts missing or a 354 not running for only $2500.00 yeah I'll jump right on that one as soon as I start smoking crack too!
The $60.00 per booth has me thinking about skipping it next yr, but my Dad and I had a great time telling lies and did make a few $$$, there wasnt a lot of good deals there.
I spent more on parking/admission than on stuff. Did find a Dec55 Motor Trend with a Lincoln Mark2 on the cover, had to have it. Rocky knows why.
The only reason I sold there was because my old boss had a spot if wasnt for that I would not have gone. I did sell stuff and found a couple of good deals like 32 wishbone for 35.00 and 2 good 94s and a parts carb for 50.00. Other then that just nick nack stuff, oh ya a very cool rear motorcycle fender with a rib down the middle I will post a pic to see if anybody can ID it. But as far as next year I wont be going I will wait for the April meet...Danny
