Look what I found sitting in a yard today! UPDATE- NEW STUFF FOUND!

OK, first off let me tell you- I'm in Hawaii right now and there is really nothing old here at all! Our rental 2006 Jeep is already rusting!! So I was quite surprised to see this Model A Pheaton sitting in a yard. Nope, didn't ask about it, whats the point right Too cool though, if it were on the main land I would be bustin my butt to get it home!







UPDATE! OK, so found some more gems today. First is a VERY rusty 57 Chev 2 door hardtop, 2 houses down from our rental. Car looks REALLY far gone.

Also found what looks like an old junk yard or dump, had lots of cars and junk, like a late 50's Mopar, 52-54 Ford and a Chev II. Coolest thing was a 37/38 Ford front end. Man, look at those round spindles. If only I had my torch!

Third is this BITCHIN International Woody. Thing was sweet, and gotta be rare as hell!!!

 

Why not ask? Dissemeble and ship her home

 

Oh, and I got laid off from work the day I left to come here, too...so no money AND no cheap way of getting it home!

 

Damn, that's bad news but something better always comes along.

 

why not ask? you never know it could be some old timer with stories or more old cars and/or parts, or a fellow hot rodder to talk and bench race with.

 

id ask just in case theres a great story there, but im just a sucker for old cars. lol.

 

Obviously they're using the vintage Ford flux invertor to power the satellite dish.

That car has been there a long time. Chris is in Kauai & that is on a side street about 1-2 blocks north of main highway in the sleepy town of Hanapepe.
Everyone I know has asked about the car (me included) & it's not for sale.

 

I saw that car in Kauai about 6 years ago. About an hour later I was sitting at an outdoor food stand and saw a flamed '39'/'40 Ford sedan drive by.

 

Yep, you guys are right. We are renting a house just a few miles north! Really pretty here, this is my first time to Hawaii!

Then drive up to Hanalei & go to Tahiti Nui. Best MaiTai on the island.... PERIOD! Live music every night.

You should grab that front end. That 57 looks a little on the tired side. Too bad about the Chevy II, would`ve made a good gasser.
