This car belongs to Bud Pierce and was built as a traditional type hot rod back in the sixties. In its most recognized form the car was named the "Four Bees". It was shown extensively and really was a fantastic little car. It was then retired until it was, unfortunately, brought back in the form you see here. I would love to see it return to the early form, but there is no way for that to happen now. But, what the hell, it is his car and who the hell am I to complain? Incidentally, Bud also owns a pretty wild '58 Pontiac custom that is pretty much as it was built back in the early seventies (?). It features tunneled quad head and tail lights and a rear window from a boatail Buick! It still has the fade paint job applied way back then... Sorry for the little side track!
I thought I remembered seeing that '58 Pontiac a few years back in a different color and the fade is a recent repaint? Seemed like it used to be purple. Who knows, I could be wrong too. A lot of nice cars there, though, I didn't get to see a whole lot from the flea market but now and then folks would cruise by and I saw a lot of the ones in these pictures. That A pickup has a '69 or '70 Bonneville grille on it by the looks. Would look a lot better if it was moved up so the top matched the height of the cowl, or the body was channeled down to match the grille. Otherwise I think it's fine. Certainly better than the '64 Ford truck I saw with the nose off, chopped, and a Model A grille stuck on it, so it would look like a mechanical abortion on wheels I guess.
HiBoy, nice ride & great pictures. You stay for "Giveaway Car" drawing ? We did. My Buddy got pulled , but was not allowed because he is a "RightCoast" Rep. That what he gets for workn in tent all weekend
That 57 kicks *** !!!!!! I was wondering who owned it. Should of known it would be a member...lol.........nice machine
Good guy, not a member here(not computer user friendly), help alot last few weeks getting Nomad on the road
As a rep - he never should have put his ticket in- he knows better.... And the watch was an $80 watch- I saw it- pretty cool I must add. BY the way, Im doing next year's car for the build.
As a rep - he never should have put his ticket in- he knows better.... Thats Funny, Bob O was on stage and stated " Reps are eligible to win door prizes , but not the Give Away Car
door prizes are given out during the days at the Right Coast booth- not on stage. There is usually a white board at the trailer with #s on it to look at and win something.
Sounds like you may not know what goes on in the Right Coast Trailer/ Info tent. There is only one Tumbler to place tickets in. I get the feeling i am done discussing issue on this Great Forum. A "Private Message" if necessary, would be better than any further discredit to "Right Coast"
The Right Coast has a whiteboard where people can read their numbers (which are on your programs you get in your package )to win door prizes too.The Tumbler is to place only participant tickets to be in the drawing for the car and other goodies before the car. All Right Coast staff/reps and anyone affiliated in that manner are exempt from winning . Hope that helps to clarify for all and everyone had a great time in 2009.
Thanx for sharing, some nice rides. This fenderless 35 is rather intresting, seems well done, and amazingly enuff looks good on radials....insert bashing here.....but i suspect that it would look a millionth time better w/ some bigger wheels on bias wide whites.
