very cool stuff. If you like and are interested in Harry Miller and his creations you have to get the book by Mark Dees, The Miller Dynasty. Out of print and pricey if your lucky enough to find one. By far my favorite book concerning old racers.

Leo Goosen drew those, his drawing board was in the Briggs Cunningham museum, with the perch on top for his parrot. Goosen drew all the Millers and many Offy motors and his last one was the Indy DOHC Ford.
The Millers inspired a whole generation of lakes roddrs and they are sooooo influential and beautiful
    Thanks for posting this

yes that's it. That book was pricey when it was being printed. I lost my first copy in a fire never thinking I would get another. I paid $200 for the second over 8 years ago and felt privileged to get it.

I've read my copy of "The Miller Dynasty" three times and am about to begin the fourth read. Each time through it, I've learned things I missed on the previous reads and trust that the next one will be no different.

There's no denying the vision and creative genius of Harry Miller. Without Leo Goosen's brilliant design work, however, Miller might not have made as big a mark on motorracing as he did.

Goosen's precise drawings are jewel-like in their meticulous detail, but he was far more than just Harry Miller's draftsman -- Goosen provided the vast majority of the countless elegant engineering solutions, not only for engines and drivetrains, but for ch***is and bodies as well.

I've heard that copies of the book have sold in the $500 range . . . no big surprise. There were a few copies on the new-book market several years ago for $200 each which I thought was very fair at the time. I wish Mark Dees' estate could be talked into re-publishing the book at an affordable price -- maybe something like its original tag of $129.50. It's much too important to be in such limited availability.

I am on my third read and amazed at how much new information that I am able to extract. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting a man here in Michigan who owns a large number of Miller's handiwork in his private collection. I was able to not only sit in a few including a rear wheel drive, I also got to make racer noises while sitting in a Novi. I will try to find my pics and post one or two

"The Miller Dynasty" should be on everyones bookshelf, very well done research work. Back in 1974 I stoped in at Drake Engineering to see if I could get to see an OFFY under construction. The fellow in the office told me to wait and went off to find someone to show me around. He came back in five minutes, and said "This is Mr. Goossen, he should be able to show you around." How cool is that! After a tour of the shop he opened a cabinet in the R&D department and gave me an OFFY cam follower and a business card, that I asked him to autograph. It is one my favorite automotive hobby experiances.

Nope, no bidding on this end. The coin is kinda tight right now. BTW, the guy bidding on it is going to win the auction. He goes by "emgeel", and bids on some crazy stuff and if he starts bidding on it, he will pay for it. He bid on a couple of items that I had on Epay early this summer and I had guys emailing me wondering if I had two of the "Timing tags", because the "emgeel" guy will win the auction. Sure enough, he bought one of them for $107 and the other two for around $60. I am not sure who he is or what he is building. It could be a middle man for Speedy Bill, I know that George Poteet's epay name is ******** and he is one of the others that you will not win against.
