We've got all day and evening this Sunday to hang out and do some fun car related stuff. I've got a list of events off Dave's site but it really means nothing without you guys filling us in on which events would be cool, or nope, that event sucks or isn't up your alley, or whatever.

We are staying in Downtown LA and flying out of LAX late on Sunday night and us girls AREN'T afraid to drive so if is something really cool but not exactly around the corner we'd still check it out.

Also, if there is something that ISN'T on the list that we should attend PLEASE let us know.

Also, looking for the name of a Tiki Themed resturant in the Burbank/Hollywood ? area that we've seem photos on the HAMB of. Does the resturant have good food? Can you suggest other GREAT places to eat near the Petersen.

Also, can you suggest any bars/club/drink places in this area? We've hung out in the Santa Monica area the last two times we've come to town so I'd like to hang out in some different surroundings.

    All sugestions are welcome.

won't be in town this weekend but lots of cool/interesting downtown bars.
The Redwood Bar & Grill usually has cool rock n roll bands
Bar 107, trendy little dive bar
La Cita, another trendy dive bar
    Golden Gopher
Wurstkuche (handmade suasage joint with only German and Belgian beers) delicious BTW:cool:

or head up the 101 a bit to Bobby greens place in silverlake, Stinkers!!!!

Also, the Bahooka is in Rosemead not to far from Downtown, they are an old Tiki themed restaurant as well, cool drinks and tasty food!!!

they also just opened a Trader Vics in downtown at the Staples Center if tikis are your thing....

lots to do in Downtown these days, lots of hipster artist kids moving in and the citys cleaning it up and making it more of a "new York" style feel

If you want to have a few good beers near the beach there is a great BBQ joint that has a great selection of beers in Seal Beach. WWW.beachwoodbbq.com Here is a link to their beer menu. It can change daily as they rotate through kegs.
http://www.beachwoodbbq.com/beer.php Let me know fi you are up to having a few beers as I wouldn't mind joining you.

The flyer says the Johnny Carson park /JB show starts at 10am till 3pm. meeting you before sounds cool! I didn't pre-register. There's always room in that park though...are you coming from 5 fwy? or 405 fwy?

WOW, thanks SO MUCH for all the cool info guys! Looks like the event in the Johnny Carson park would be the one to hit, perhaps with dinner at the BBQ place in Seal Beach afterwards.

Also looks like there is a few Tiki themed places to try along with some very cool sounding places for drinks. Gonna be a GREAT weekend!

Thanks again for all the info and suggestions.

  20. Coronado Festival of Speed is really something to see. Coronado Island in San Diego is incredible. The vintage racing is awesome. One of my co workers will be racing his REAL Cobra. It would be worth the approx 2 hour drive!!!!

Check out the Bigfoot Lodge in Los Feliz, great bar and when you see it, you'll get the name. It's at 3172 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Feliz, CA. 90039. It's just a quick jaunt from Downtown. North on the 110 freeway to the 5 freeway north. It's probably a 15 minute ride from downtown (if there is no traffic, that is).

While I would LOVE to do this, San Diego deserves it's own week or long weekend one of these years. I couldn't imagine being that close and not visiting my old high school and house in ElCajon where we use to live. My Dad was stationed on Coronado Island. I'd have to visit the zoo as well. So much to do, so little time.

Are you heading down there? Is the buddy that is racing his real AC Cobra Tom McIntyre by chance?

    Great suggestion, thanks!

If you like scooters too there's the Long Beach Cycle Swap Meet early Sunday morning. It's next to the Long Beach Airport.

    www.toppingevents.com

Keep in mind that you won't see any hot rod stuff there, but plenty of old bikes.

Should we all meet at TimeBomb's car at lets say 1pm for alittle Meet & Greet? Since I don't know what any of you guys look like, and I know what his car looks like, it will be easy to spot I would guess. If anyone has a better idea love to hear it. Looking forward to meeting all three of you guys.

Megan just filled me in on the fact that we have met a few times in the past. You're EmilyBelle's fella.:D I just didn't recognize your screen name. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell Emily that Meg and I will be in town for the weekend and please do whatever she can to hook up with us this weekend. Have her call me 734-673-6930 when she gets a chance or PM me and I'll fill her in on our schedule. Thanks bud and we'll see you on Sunday if not before.

Yeah, but not better then BBQ on a sunny, warm, Sunday afternoon at a beach location. ;) Thanks though.

One of these days we will take you up on the offer sweetie.

At heart? I'll fill you in on the details at breakfast.
