my dad is ornery too. I told him let's try for 100 mph. He yelled at me and said "i ain't blowin my damn car up" .........i think he'll try!
That is great. Being able to race and get a record to boot way cool. I was supposed to go this meet but I have a little one thats ready come out very SOON. Hes on his way. Todd
Ed, Tell your Pops that I'm so very happy for him. And for you? ..... enjoy everyday with your Pops. Keep us posted on any new progress.....
That is just flat *** kewl. Congrats to you Pops. Thanks for letting me into your racing world ...... Paco
XO is a Pre 1959 inline engine or flathead V8 that is not a Ford/Merc. Under 325 CID. Unblown. On gas. Other than that you are on your own for the engine. Pro is Production. I think this car would be in XO/VPro for pre 1948 bodies unaltered and basicly the same body as the engine. No QC rearends. Street equiptment. No gutted interior. Like this very nice looking Stude. Good going.
To everyone who has comented, thank you so much. My dad and i are best friends. He has done so much for me through the years. I'm the one who sugested we go to maxton because i knew with a little coaxing he would go and have a ball! Here's a pic of his other stude. But it's chevy powered.
Congrats to your Dad on the record. I can't really tell who is more proud The pickup is pretty sweet too.
A big congrats to you and your Dad. The speed isn't relevant. Its the fact that you and your Dad DID it rather than just talk about it. You have every right to be proud of your Dad!
As a long time course worker at Maxton, I am really glad to see this happen. Unfortunately I missed the September meet. I will be there in October. Look for me at short shutdown.
"Old Dude" indeed us old dudes prefer to be referred to as silver haired gentlemen. Good job on the record by your pops. Tell him a bunch other silver haired gentlemen on the Hamb say right on brother.
Hell man a record is a record and ****** hard to do no matter what cl*** you run. Well done, f%£"en well done! Doc.
