Well,I called and talked to my painter today and he said come check it out the basic body is painted and he is color sanding today.

I jumped in the truck and wasted no time in getting to his shop,,,I was shocked at first at the color combination, not that the colors are wrong but ask why he had painted the top cream when it was supposed to be green.

Rule #1,,make sure you and your painter are on the same page,,we both agreed we had misunderstood each other and the top indeed does get green paint,,,just around the windows was to be cream.

He took it well as did I,,just more paint, more time and mo money:rolleyes:

He has done a great job and really is trying to go that extra mile,,,so without any more comment,,the car as it sits now,,next week it should be painted correctly. HRP

  6. Excellent!
Let us know when the shakedown cruise is.
Maybe we can make a real event out of it.

Thats nice. I have a 57 ranch wagon, project after next, and it has the "oreo" look.
You and the painter show alot of cl*** saying missunderstanding and the painter is taking nessasary steps.
you will have a great time during the ***embly phase.

I myself like the white top ... and we all KNOW that a white top makes for a cooler temperature inside ... But it is Brenda's wagon and her choice :D

I talked to Dendy tonight at the club meeting and everything is cool,,,he said the top will be green and everything on the basic body should be color sanded by next weekend.

This car has been a part of her life as long is she can remember,,she is only one year older than the wagon!:D HRP

Thanks man,That means a lot coming from you.

Randy,,, what can I say other than "If momma ain't happy,,no one is"

    It's a ways away,,but it's a good idea.

    Thank you Jim,,,

I need to get the engine cleaned up and ready to go in for the final time,,,looks like it won't be too much longer. HRP

The front independent suspension is original to the car,,54 was the first year for the upgrade from the pin and link earlier style.

I rebuilt everything with new bushings and uses dropped spindles and Granada disc brakes. HRP
