I just had tires mounted on '35 ford wire wheels. They are Excelsior 5.50 x 16 bias tires from Coker. Same PSI in both tires, but one tire is 1/2" taller than the other. Seems to be more crown in the one tread while the other is flatter. Is this uncommon and should I worry about it or no big deal? Thanks.

X3 - except possibly your rims are different widths at the bead, and the narrower one will "crown" higher with the same size tire. Don't run them.

Aren't Excelsior Tires the British lowbuckers which feel like very thick tubes with tread rather than very thin tires?

The rims are the same width. Just wondering if this was experienced by anybody else on their tires (any brand). Waiting to hear back from Coker.
