My friend just bought a car wash here in Gardnerville, Nv. He has a crew gutting it and installing all new equipment to make it a "touchless" car wash. He called me to ask if I wanted the compressor, a Husky-Pro, two cylinder 60 gal upright that looks brand new, even the oil and air filters are clean so I said DUH... Two guy's brought it over in the back of a pickup and unloaded it so all I had to do was to walk it into my garage. I went out to the garage three times tonight just to look at it, I'm a happy guy.
Very nice, great friend. If you already have one-maybe you could p*** it on to another less fortunate rodder? Nevada must be different that Pennsylvania. I don't see much activity driving past the car washes on my way to work. I am surprised the money's there to completely re-do one. Good luck to you both.
if it's a touchless, maybe he'll give you the test code, so you can help him make sure it's working whenever you drive by. Lol.
Lota retired folk here with nice trucks and cars AND hot rods. Most, like ME have fled KalEfornia to find AMERICA. Lots of tourists come through for Hot August Nights, Street Vibrations, Virgina City, Reno casinos, Air Races, balloon races, all kinds of desert racing 2 and 4 wheel, sailplane championships at the Minden airport and oh yah, pros***ution is legal here...
We have two of the "traditional" car washes here the ones where you go inside and wait. One is closed and the other is always changing owners. The ones where you was yourself with a wand are pretty much dead. But the fully automated, pay by card, and wait in the car ones are always in use. People are lazy.
