Customs Custom side tilt hood.....

    Thought id share a few pics of my ass load of work lol
    I started by welding all the fenders to the body and opened the top of the hood at the body line.
    The front end is a tilt unit aswell!
    Was curious to see if anyone else has fabbed a tilt hood and love to see some pics!

    Now that is bad ass right there, I was thinking of just reversing my hood opening. But you sir have enlightened me on another way of putting my hood on.

    Ive had this thing mounted everyway possible this seems to be the best ecs with the tilt front clip.

    Hinges are the small universal hinges that can be polished!
    Im mounting small shocks to them to eliminate the need for a prop rod.

    Also used the factory access hole on the orginal rad support as a place to duct in some fresh air built a small scoop behind the grille and the it shoots air up the ram air i built and shoots straight to the air cleaner from the back of the custom built tri -five style bird i fabbed up.

    There from Sachse rod shop in iowa!
    They come in a lil bigger size aswell
    Using a shock to mount to them like on the Ring bros. hinge set up on my nova.

    flipped bumpers moved them closer to the car etc. tons of subtle changes.
    Engines a solid roller 406 4.56 gears

    Thanks The mods really stand out next to an orginal.
    Ive since closed the lock holes and decided to weld the rear valance panel on and its smoothed in.

    I have to admit the two hardess things to choose where the color and then the wheels still havent chose wheels let me know what you think,
    15x15 and 15x4's
    Color is green tea met. like the block and non met. ivory factory style two tone.

    As nice as the work is, and it is nice, not really a HAMB style car. More of a street rod/pro street hybrid. Though if you pitch it that way you may get a tax credit.

    LOL Free time i wish! lol i run a business have 4 kids 2 dogs 2 cats.
    A girlfriend and a wife on the side! lol
    Usually start on car about 9 in the evening work till 2 am every other night
    Work has been done in a lil 30x40 garage all done by myself so far! cant imagine the money id have in paying someone to do what ive done so far byself alone!

    Thanks Yeh i just wanted to share ideas on hood designs and how others may have pulled theres off mounting them! and share a few of my crazy ass build pics in the mist of all that.
