Is anyone here running factory radius rods on there rear end set up. Im in the process of changing my rear from a coilover/ladderbar setup to a buggy spring/radius rod setup. Im thinking of using a faactory radius rod and adding a top bar to it, inturn making it a ladder bar but retaining the old look, is this nessicary? Here are a few pics of my car during the build a few years ago. The car is a driving car now so i have some limitaions as far as clearance and packaging. pictures always help. Thanks guys!

    Your rear needs a makeover:eek:

The way the ladder bars do not try to end close together is trying to twist the rear axle housing when one wheel moves up or down, causing stress to bars, joints etc

Also the panhard bar attaching holes need to be close to horizontal at ride height.

Try advanced search for " torque arm " and Lowsquire as the poster?? There was a great thread about using 35/36 ford rear radius rods (or bones) as well as why you need a third arm (torque arm)...and how to build it. Worth looking for it IMO

Thanks for the advice on the thread! I agree with the rear end comment. The axle is out of a foxbody mustang and still have the cast 4 link bosses.
