Finally got to take the Beast out for a short drive today. No registeration yet so it had to be a short one, about 10 miles. The 401 nailhead pulls it along pretty good considering the 2.41:1 gears in the camaro rear end. Original steering is still tight with no road walk or shimmy. Ought to be nice on the highway. Original numbers on the speedo are just about faded out so I figured I'd take the GPS along one of these days and put a few marks on the outside of the speedo gl*** then put some rub on numbers on it for now. With the tall gears I'll probably end up with a 150 MPH speedo! Simpler than trying to get the right speedo gears in the ST 400 to make the speedo read right.

Ya know, I have never been to a Goodguys meet. May have to make this one. Planning on leaving it as is. It's going to be our company hauler and will pull a trailer from time to time. Its a mouth full
