Bob Wright laid the brush to my 34 5 window about 72or73, was working out of his garage part time, I was working for a dealership and he charged me a set of A/C plugs for his 40 ford 2 door sedan that he was building at the time. Bob and his wife and kids were real good poeple, have not seen them in years. I also was a member of Southern Nevada Street Rod Ass. RON

Oh this should be good. My aunt lives out there and I go to see her a few times a year, love it out there. She moved out there in 59' and tells me cool storys. More pics please. Oh she is 90 years old now and last time I was there after my uncle past she gave me some old gangster suits and all kinds of old hats and ash trays and cool old stuff.

Although I moved out here in 87-88 I got to know a lot of guys throught the Las Vegas Cruzin Assc. that my wife and I are members of. Heard about a lot of stuff that happened back in the day. Glad somebody had the insight to start a thread on this.

Guilty as charged !! I got my drivers license in '56 and like a moth to a flame, headed to Sill's and was busted for spinning the 600x16s on my 39 ford coupe.I believe the Clarence's back name is Mongeon, he and his dad owned Auto Marine Electric and they split up.Clarence Thomas owned the Chevy Shop and is still around. The gentleman with the Lincoln lives about 5 doors down the street from me and I see him and his cute daughter at events . Yeah, I know Bob Wright, sat across the table from him and wife at the last "Wildcat"reunion, Bob Haygood too, I went to grade school at John S Park with Bruce Bartlett's older sister Margo. She is married to Paul Pesek who had the SPE chassis that Bruce and the "Hustlers" cackle at shows. I see "Gunsmoke" at get togethers also. Small world, I just wish I'd have taken pictures. I'm way late on this thread, but used to cruise Freemont every weekend. Raced out at Stardust drag strip, then headed into town and cruise without cleaning off the white shoe polish they used to give us a number and our class designation. Kind of a badge of honor. Also way out Charleston (probably the middle of town now), was a quarter mile marked off where we went to street race. Then we'd head in to the Blue Onion for a deluxe cheeseburger and a cherry lime rickey. Great memories.
