My sisters 56 is weeks from being complete. We want to get away from the old tailgate chains. The builder will be installing hidden latched in the tailgate, but what are some off the shelf options for supports?
I redid the mounts on my 50 to the inside of the bed so the supports are on the the inside. I also added a reinforcing plate to the stake pocket. Not an off the shelf answer but a simple solution.
Maybe some aircraft cables with retractors built into the bed sides? Of course, I've always been partial to the traditional, green garden hose chain covers!
