In true RASHY style, I've built this post kinda backwards.... the next two pics should have been first. Oh well, what more would you expect from me?

You see, Pops (AKA Jim Markley) sold the little pickup to Kit Sprague in 2000 and Kit built it to what you see in the pics. The "Markley Trucking" was just added by our very own Lil' Toot as a tribute to Pops.

    Beautiful dudes!

Great post to honor what sounds like a GREAT guy! I don't think i was lucky enough to meet him but It sure does look like he brought a ton of joy to many peoples lives. It ****s to see such a good friend p*** but it's always cool to be able to honor them like that, with so many people and a bunch of bad *** cars. His 39 is beautiful!

What a great way to remember Pops, a great man that touched many people's lives.

Ron, thanks for posting this. Dody, Seth, Emily, family, and friends continue to be in my thoughts. Rest in Peace Jim Markley.

A funeral is really a nice way to tell about a person and how they were viewed by their peers. From the looks of this one he was a great guy and will be missed by a large group of friends. Having everyone bring their hot rods really makes it special.

Rashy, The service was a great tribute to Pops. It was a celebration of who he was and what he meant to so many, very fitting. I only met Jim about four years ago but certainly considered he and Seth as friends. Yesterday I got to meet the two ladies in the family and Dody and Emily were just as gracious and kind as Jim. Dody and Emily, it was nice to meet you, even under the cir***stances.

I told Dody that Jim looked like Ed "Kookie" Burns when he was younger, she said "Yea, he used to get that a lot"

Definitely a very moving tribute seeing all the cars and folks show up. Even though I did not know Pops, everyone speaks very highly of the man, and if I was a little closer, I would have paid my respects. This kinda stuff always gets me. My dad lost his battle with cancer in 06.
