That is a lot of great cars and a lot of hot rodding, drag racing and customs history represented there. Thanks for posting the photos, I appreciate it.

It would be incredibly cool to own a model like "Boot Hill Express" that I built 42 years ago...mind blowing to think about it.

Thanx for taking and posting the pics mazooma, there's some real "milestone" cars there. I'm having a hard time deciding which one I'm going to buy as I can only afford one LOL

I'm with ya man! If'n I was a fella flush with cash, it would be that, the Cool 50 Merc and then maybe the Adonis if I had any dough left. But, I gots no bucks, so I guess your dibs are the dibs that are in. LOL.

Thanks a ton for sharing the pics!!!!

Thanks Doug, really glad I saw them "before"....I call dibs on Tony's '36 coupe, by the way.;)

  13. Doug, did you overhear any talk about prices? What is your best estimate in the Little Red Wagon???
Nice job as always on the pics, from many hundreds of miles away, THANKS.

The estimate for the "little red wagon" in the catalog is $200,000.00 to $300,000.00 but like Mazooma said " never know until the gavel drops."

At the auction at the Petersen (also an R&M Auction) in '06 the "estimates" were waaaay off. They were expecting a Von Dutch owned screwdriver to sell for 3-500 dollars...wrong!. They were sold for 3 or 4 times the projected estimates.
Now, today??? Its anybody's guess. I know the owner of some of those cars are going to take a real bath. One of the cars is the Chev. convertible drag car that sold at BJ a few years ago more over $1M...really..$1,000,000.
Tomorrow, I really doubt it will get any where near that...we'll see...

The catalog alone, included with the admission, would be a keepsake! Talk about a coffee table book! I'd buy one alone, for the $80.00 admission!!

P.S. I lied, I did buy the catalog ($80)...man, its gorgeous, 280 pages...beautiful photography and details of the items...nicely done

    Doug,
Looks like they're using both the parking structure and the museum for the auction cars. Where are participants expected to park?
    Thanks
    Tony
