Here's some pics. from last nights Doodlebug meeting. Pretty nice lawn ornament Nice night drew a good crowd, obviously bugs aren't the only interest here. [/UR Nice little Dodge bug had an A front axle and a two speed Ruckstell sp ? rear end with Dodge eng. and trans. Worthington tractor based on Model A running gear with '32 comm. grille. Gotta love those stock car guys.
Theres a guy out of town owns an old gas station he has a **** load of old bugs I should ride out one day and shoot some pics and yes there are fans they are at work most likely.
Yes, and I think it wouldn't take much to put it back on the road, I'd love to buy it but the price would be high if he'd even consider it which I doubt.
maybe its just a regional thing? I have never heard or seen anything like them here in california besides on the thread here. I like them, now that vintage tin is valuable its cool to see what people were doing back when it was what they had laying around. very cool
That group looks like a lot of fun. I have a couple, been taking them to tractor shows around. Lots of fun talking to the old guys. Just got a flathead cad V8 that I want to put in one of them. Gotta figure out how to include pictures.... Ed.......
