I have had this car for 3 years now and it is all original except for the front seats. I have not seen many others and was wondering what it is worth. Any info and opinions are welcome. Thanks! 1960 Buick Electra 401 motor auto trans minimal rust no AC Everything works except p***enger side window and wiper.
What is the best they will go without an apraisal. Then send them some pics at that price and see if they agree. It shows good from the outside, but clean it up on the inside before you send them the pics.
I have Haggerty, I believe the minimum they will accept will be more than you would expect to value it at anyhow.
I'd say somewhere between $2,000 and $30,000. Most antique dealers say to insure it for twice the value. .
I think you could get 6 grand for it here in Central Texas... the 4 door is killing the value though. The market is really ****ty right now though... and it would probably take a while to get 6. A few years ago you could've maybe got more. -Chris

Thanks for all your replies!! I will definitely clean it up before i go to the Ins. co. Hagerty was an option but i dont have a garage. Does that matter?
Yet another WIW? thread. Put it this way, Rev...If this car were for sale and YOU were a buyer, what would YOU honestly pay for it??? Like what I have said on a bunch of these very same WIW? posts, it's worth what a buyer and YOU agree to. Could be a buck, could be a hundred grand, but I'll guarantee it's at the lower end of that scale. Spend the money and get a professional appraisal. Asking on a car forum is hardly a definitive method of getting a "free" appraisal. Not having a garage matters a LOT. Hagerty, Grundy, and the other cl***ic insurers will NOT insure you is a locked garage is not used.
Hard to say. Some value certain cars at higher values based on what they personally like. One person may pay 5k for what another would not give 3k for.
