Very nice job, Clark! You've built something Ford SHOULD have built! :)

What are your seating plans? 2 or 3 rows? It'd be cool as hell to have a family hauler and/or daily driver like this.

I love it! I'm impressed with the idea about the bumpers. I bought 49 PLY, bumpers for my F1 after seeing it on another truck, They just don't fit right for me, and I didn't want to mess with them to make them fit. I would have, if my mind would have went in the direction yours did. I did make a custom bumper for my merc from a 61' caddy front bumper. I'm just amazed by the way some people do things that I sit back and say " WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT"? Good-on-ya.

HRM2k...technically it's got 12 doors in it...the 5 on it and the 7 I cut up for the windows :)

Smokin...I actually made the bumper years ago for my posp dodge truck but never used it. Just had to add some curve to it to fit the Ford tight.

Malcom...just 2 rows of seats. The 3rd door was put in just to make it easier to get in the back seat. We were thinking more about making it user friendly than just something cool to do. The whole plan is to make the perfect driver.

Winged...yeh. Electric blue wheels, motor and other accents with a light blue paint on the body...well that's the plan anyway.

    JJ...I guess I know why it's rusting now :)

HRTH...thanks for lookin for me but I'm hoping I have an extra one at my pops place. If not Carlisle and Hershey swaps are coming up.

Xderelict...8 or 10 front doors including the ones on it. Not to worry most of them were junk.

    DDR..you get it!

    Thanks for all the feedback!!

it will be fun to sit around and listen to the experts talk about how rare it is.

"yeah,, Ford didn't make too many suburbans back in the 50's.. a rare bird these days, I've seen only a handful"

When you're creating something the sheetmetal work is fun....when you have to fix rust...it sucks. I guess that's why I like to use fixing the rust as an excuse to change things. :)

Looks like an old Ranger. Nice work! Any thoughts of filling in the seams on the lower front panels to make it look one piece?

If I filled the lower seams it would be 1 piece and hard to deal with off of the vehicle.

Jman...didn't have any doors layin around. I got 4 with the truck. They were all rotted at the bottom so they got cut. I got 2 good doors to use up front then the local junkyard had a couple.

Funny how some of the parts have their own story. 2 doors came off of a Penn Dot truck, 2 doors off of a Coke truck and the hood is off of a local firetruck. They warped the hood when restoring the firetruck. It was rust free so I just spent a lot of time hammer and dollying it.

Evel...we went for paint on saturday. Light blue is not an easy color to pick. We found some but they turned a little green in the wrong lighting. We may mix our own....can we call it Crue Blue! :)
