Customs WOOWEEE!! I got myself a 50 Merc: Update

Well today I went out and finally picked up my Merc. So BadBob I want in on the Merc club..lol....anyway this is what I have it has been in these woods for 30+ years and I just had to have it.

that one is gonna test your metal working skills.

 

Your gonna need some patch panels and I assume rockers. But other than that it looks solid. Very cool score man. Good luck and post some progress pics. Looks like fun.

I'm happy for ya dude! That's a good start, definately needs a little metalwork, but it looks like the glass is intact! That's gotta count!

A little bleach and lime-away mixed together will clean that moss right off!

There is still alot of potential in that one. Like others have said I've seen worse get built. Heck it looks solid from the middle up! Good luck and have fun with it.

The interior is all there and the frame is in great condition. It does need rockers and the trunk floor is wooped........lol.as for the quarter panels I am wondering if I can purchase new ones. I am not going to be starting this for a little while but I am going to be looking for part for it. I will get more pics when I unload it.
