Well it's 31 minutes into Sunday here, so let's see what you guys finished and are working on! I showed most mine couple weeks ago, but I finished this one tonight.
Thats bitchin, I just finished the amt 33 willys gasser but Im not a fancy pic taker like you guys lol
That paint is superb! Thats it, Im sending my models to you to paint! I got nothing but a pile of cut up 37 Chev coupe, not real interesting to look at. So heres something you have all seem before because Im too lazy to build fast... Doc.
thanks guys! hey I like the dragsters! don't worry about working fast....work at a speed that you don't burn out. (pun intended)
Been a while since I last posted in any of those threads I think, so here comes a whole bunch... '29 RPU '34 Tudor '51 Fleetline '41 Chevy truck '31 Woodie '37 Chevy convertible '39 Tudor '25 T
Before what's now called "rat rods" there were a few well-worn beaters. This was built from a crappy R&R resin kit LONG before Revell did a '37 coupe.
Man.....Nice! Do any of you guys work? Or work on real cars? (LOL) I have always admired custom model builders.... yours didn't let me down. AWBCRAZY, NICE JOB ON THE 64 PAINT!
here is my contribution for this Sunday! this is some of the flatheads i'm building for a wood floored garage diorama. i hope to build at least two more today, we'll see how that goes <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o> </o> Lyle's '37 coupe is awesome! Dave
Hey guys - good work! Since I own a 1964 Ford 1/1 scale, Bob gets most of my attention today. I love it!! Here is what's going on over here: ... and ... No finished kits this week but a couple of mock ups aint that bad - lol
Where is this flathead from?? I have not seen offy heads & intake before. These would look good in a deuce I am working on.
I think those came from the Model Car Garage. They are resin. The heads where mastered by Cody Grayland (sp) and I created the photo etched scripts for them. The two carb Offy intake was patterned by me. I used an AMT 1949 Merc kit intake and did a lot of work on it. The Offy scripts are again done in photo etch. Should take some better photos. the one below is done by scanning the step by step parts. Will take some better photos of it soon. The center piece is the modified AMT intake (resin copy of it) the white is styrene and filler. The bottom one is a resin copy of the center piece, to which I added acorn nut bolds and the photo-etched scripts. White resin part on the top is the final product. Sorry for the poor quality.. all I can do right now. all in 1/25 scale Slight;y better photo of the Offy intake on the top and three carb intake below. These parts where created perhaps ten years ago.. when nothing was available in the kits. Here is some of the Photo-Etch scripts I created. on the left is a head for the evans script. On the right is an half way finished Eddy Meyer two carb intake Some more And this is an engine I created for RMCM (mostly, Stromberg Carburators are MCG)
GREAT SHOW GUYS! The belly tanker is AWESOME! Rik thanks for posting those engine photos, stuff looks killer!
OK, I haven't posted here in a long long time. In progress 1/18th diecast using the Americam Graffiti coupe body as the basis for this full fendered 5W build. Geoff aka whodaky
thanks for posting Rik! i use alot of Replicas and Miniatures company of Maryland parts and those flathead parts from Model Car Garage. the heads on the yellow flathead are from R&McoMD and the intake MCG. there will be more flatheads built showcasing those parts soon. Dave
Man you guys are doing some cool stuff. Now i really need to get building something, wish work wasn't hitting into the busy season.
So what is Replicas and Miniatures company of Maryland's wbsite??? Ive done a search a didnt turn up anything.....
Gto a pretty cool goodwill center here. They sell everythign for $1.00 per pound. Got pretty lucky to find some built models. Gonna leave some of them as is, rebuild some and use the rest as parts. The last one is a chevy I got in the lot that had a crushed roof, I am going to graft the roof from a racecar onto it.
And here is a few I built a while ago. I also found an old lead car and some old hotwheels/ Matchbox cars
Thx AWBcrazy! The feeling is mutual in regards to your Galaxie!! As far as locating Replicas&minatures info, all I could come up with is this site which might carry some of their products. The last time I ordered something from R&M,their wasn't this thing called an internet! They only had a catalog. http://islandcollectibles.net/products.htm
