I just bought this for no other reason than because it was cool, NOS, and looked like a 94 or 97 carb top. Anybody know anything about it?
Yea, they are junk, I'll give you 5 bux for the waste of space PM me your address and I'll get the money order in the mail yesterday Greg
Make it $5.50. It is made by SAATY in Providence Rhode Island. No date but it sure looks pre-1960. I've tried unsuccessfully to research it on the web.
someone else on here has one but i forget who. seems like the inventor was a friend of the family if i remember correctly...ken....
Cool. Do you recall if the other HAMBER was actually using it or just displaying it? I'd love to know more about it. I had a scott super stack injection that almost accomplished what I hope this will. Sure wish I could find more.
i think it was just something he had gotten and knew very little about. you might could find it through a search it was a few months back...ken....
[ QUOTE ] Make it $5.50. [/ QUOTE ] Deal haha. I do remember there being a post about one of these before and I hope you find the info you are looking for....how kickass would it be to see three of those sitting on top of a 283 or a flatty instead of 97's!!! Greg
I"ve tried to look up old posts here and can't seem to do it. When I type in the search words it still seems to pull up every single post regardless of content. Might be the beer talking but I can't get it done? Any ideas how to find that post?
have you tested it out? or more so, has ANYONE ever used one of these things? I found a guy that has one for sale (swap meet dealer/jockey), so if anyone wants his number I can PM it. since its injection, I wonder if they can be used as a side draft also?
I just saw one of those on E-bay go for like 40 bux....It was listed in the item discription for 6cyl....I didnt know enough about it but thought it was interesting...I asked a couple of people on here if they knew anything about them but nobody had any really concrete info for me...Talk to you soon holmes.
they were built to install on the big Meteor that is due to hit earth........that way it will spin in circles in space and avoid a collision with us ,by a few miles so far, a long enough fuel line has not been made though......
COuld we see a couple more pics (top, bottom, hookups?) It looks like some kind of throttle body deal, but I've never seen (or heard of) one before. I'm curious. I thought I'd seen just about everything. I love seeing shit I've never seen before. Now I want to know all about it. Scotch~!
I've got some NOS ones now but can't seem to post pix on the HAMB anymore. Dunno what changed but everything I have is too big (something i'm not used to hearing). I'll send them to your e-mail if you wanna see other shots of it. They made two different ones that I know of. I've got 8 of the 100's and my friend has two of the 200's.
I haven't but Linder Fuel Injection is here on Gasoline Alley and I gave him a couple of mine in exchange for making the rest of mine work. He was already familiar with them from having two of the 200's and said he'd have no problem making them work. I was going to run them on that last Latham but now am thinking of just making a couple of old school tripowers. These things were like $80 in 1958 as opposed to about $8 for Stromberg at the time so they didn't sell very well. Cool as hell though.
In the November 2009 issue of Rod and Custom mag there is a 31 5 window with 3 of them on a 389 Pontiac. They were made by Saaty in 57 and 58. They sold for $90 dollars back then. The guy says they whistle neat when you hit the throttle.
Mike Zenor ask and you shall recieve knowledge. Thats zenors coupe hes talking about? Where you been, under a rock?
Here's some info. Looks like it was patented in 1953. http://www.freepatentsonline.com/2646976.pdf M/P
