I just got these from a well respected flathead guy and he was at a loss as to who made them. They look similar to Hotten & Sullivan or Allstate, but there are no markings on them or evidence of previous fins. They are early style, but have the boss for the late distributor hold down.
They appear to never have been run or bolted on either.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have no idea but think it's interesting that they have the keyhole cooling p***ages on the front as well as the rear.

    Don't know.
Not Weiand cheater heads,I have those on my car.

I like the oil filter boss built in.
    Very cool.

  4. Interesting, center water outlet with the 8BA distributor mount in place.

    Nice heads

  5. Who ever built them was looking for as much cross marketing as possible. Not the worst idea. Casting without fins made them less expensive to boot.

Saw something similar at a swap meet. The guy said they were a marine head.

Did the French built flatheads use metric hardware or standard US issue?

Yea.....I was thinking I'd sandblast 'em to get rid of that smooth finish too.

  13. **** Brett, those are cool. Can't help you with the ID, but I'm suitably jealous anyway.

You sell a kidney or something? Those look pretty spendy.

Nope, just emptyed a few socks at the "bank"
Seriously, they were a really good deal.
The best I can figure is they are either Allstate or Hotton&Sullivan. I'm just not sure which because they are very similar. Here's the history
