    Nice Stuff Cougar,
Are you using Sculpey? If so, how long do you need to let it set up to machine or do you force bake it with the oven?
I really dig your stuff and was always interested in sculpting with that stuff. I could join my 4 yr old daughter in f-in up the carpets in the house.

thanks man! I know my mom used to make dolls and sculpted their faces and baked em in the oven. I was freaky to come down in the morning and there was a tray of eyeballs laying on the kitchen counter HAHAHAHA

  4. Mike, I've used plain white Sculpey and some Sculpey Premo so far. Baked in a regular oven by their instructions- doesn't take long. I haven't tried any "machining", don't want to lose the hand made character. That would probably work better with the resin casts anyway. It WILL sand and a fine rasp works great. So far I haven't ruined any carpet but it does look like I've taken up whittlin'.

    Cougardan,

The hubcap HAMB idea is aces....I can't believe noone else ever thought of that. And to turn that idea into a shifter knob....I think we found a winner. It's just too bad you couldn't chrome that thing. No worries, I'd "settle" for one painted black with red/white striping. I could picture that in Ryan's '38 easily. Fuckin' cool man.

    And Carps,
    I reckon she's right......

Actually you could chrome it with paint!!! I agree, that hubcap is a super cool concept. If you want to send me one sometime, I will shoot it with this Also Corp Chrome paint for experiment.

I've been laid up with the Flu all week, but I did manage to get a couple small things painted. A purse for a friend of mine, and the top of my toilet.

you could find a shop that dioes Chrome FX or Mirrachrome finishes. It is a paint process that looks just like chrome, and they can chrome anything!!

    Great stuff this week guys.

Here are a few things that I had Kritz stripe for me. First is another Pleasure Chest cooler. I gave this to my buddy Bill as a gift...He is the guy with the V-12 bucket, that I have posted pictures of before.

This panel is a grean/gold metalflake, with red and black stripes. The pictures do not do these things justice, they look way cooler in person.

  25. Thanx for the encouragement, but next to this stuff, my stuff is pretty ordinary.

This weekend is KOA John's picnic and we kicked it off as usual last night with the Friday evening BBQ and benchracing session. One of the guys ggot game and let me cut loose on his car. Pics soon. I have another one lined up for this arvo, so we'll see what happes.

Another of my plans is to have a huge panel hung in one of the rooms for anybody who wants to have a try, all they need is a brush and some paint. If it looks any good we'll auction it off and give the cash to the widow of one of our mates who succummed to cancer recently.

Barnett, you're a good guy, making a youngster like me feel all warm and fuzzy. However, I'm just trying not to flop on my ass too much.

Great stuff guys, I look forward to this post every week.
