HELP Hauling Nostalgia F/C

There is a gentleman named Vic Miller on the Cl***ic Funny Car Board that needs someone with a 1 ton Dually in Portland Oregon area to haul Veneys Vega to the California Hot Rod Reunion and back home.
He's willing to pay for the fuel,the in at the track,The Hotel,Yada,Yada,Yada.
Time is getting short and his 1/2 ton won't do the deed.
Anyone willing to help should go here and let him know.

Hey guys my friend and I are all set to crew for the Vega at Bakersfield we just need to find someone to tow him down here. I've talked to Vic over the past weeks, he's a great guy and good family man, he just needs a little help. I'm sure there is someone up there that will help. Whats better then going to the CHRR? Towing a Flopper to the CHRR!!!

 

Wouldn't it be cheaper for him to rent a truck for the weekend? What kind of trailer does he have? I'm way off so I can't help but there must be a solution to this....

 

I have looked into renting a truck and at $30 a day and then .60 cents a mile,..1750 miles round trip,..$1200.00,..then add $500-$600 for fuel
I have about $1300 to $1500 to travel with pay for fuel and motel, and food,..I already have all the credentials and entry for the Reunion,..
oh and thanks guys on the comments,..and thanks Vince for trying to help make this road trip happen. We will get there one way or another,...

13 more days before we need to leave,..still no truck

See if you can edit the ***le to include "Portland and CHRR" that way it may get some attention from the region. BTW Slick, I haven't heard back from Litts he may be racing and out of town.

Just dropped the Vega off at Mitch Kims for the final process of
hand lettering the flopper,..should have it back in 2,3 maybe 4 days
This car looks so awesome,..who says you cant have cake with your icecream is absolutly full of them selves,...
**** Pruitt of Completely Nuts Inc. has made this car Brand new again with his fabulous airbrush and artistic talents, I cant wait to see Mitch`s work definate Mouth dropping, smack down knock out work,..
