Should i leave it or chop it more/shorten it

looks like its staying long
im thinking tinted plexiglass windows in the back or a metal sheet in place of the window something i can paint my shops name on, but i dont want it totally smooth

 

no matter what you do if your body is going to be 4" off the ground it will look lame.

I know it's not a voting option but I say don't lay it on the deck - when the tops of the rear tires cover the bottom of the window opening it's waaaay too low. I've never liked that look.

Now, regarding shortening, normally I would vote for that to properly proportion the back half of the car relative to the front. However, the hearse or sd idea would work very well with the current proportions - the chop looks to be ideal for this to work.

I've always wanted to do a street rod hearse, I'm pretty sure some one is making back doors now so that should be a problem, I've never been a big fan of in the dirt rods,I like the back end up in the air for the early street rod, lead sled need to be tail draggers but rods shouldn't, but I have also like full fendered rods as well, the chop looks perfect which every you choose.

 

I say panel. No more chop, and 4" should be good also.
There are many original 50s and 60s rides that are waaaaaay low.
plus 4 inches are 10 centimeters, which isnt all that radical really.

No more chop. Keep the length. A back door is not that hard to do DO IT. Try to keep the rear suspension compact so it doesn't over take the rear inside. As far as ride height not to low. Please don't make the wheelbase long. I think you will have a very nice ride. IMOSWEET!

 

Oh yeah, and put rear side glass/plexi with a removable solid panel so you could rock the hearse or the panel look. Again only an opinion.

 

I like the hearse/delivery idea, but with that much of a chop, how about a gullwing rear door? Even so I'd be inclined to set the body on top of the rails.

 

I think it would look good as a delivery but put glass in the quarter windows with etching done in them.

 

I would leave the chop as is. It looks good! In my opinion the side rear window opening looks too big/disproportional...Consider a panel or tudor convsersion. Or just keep it a fourdoor like mosimpsons. Which looks way cool...

I have to say i agree with CJ I have a thing fr hearse, just add some back doors to finish it off as well then you have one sick look
