Been a car guy since birth, hot rodded a few 55-57 Chevies, had some Old 442's. Decide to go racing, built some cars, won some races, logged many miles towing to races from Lime Rock to Topeka and Mosport to Daytona. Spent countless amounts of money. Woke up and retired from racing. Have always wanted a 49-52 Chevey Fleetline and began a 4 month search and found the basis of my new endeavor in Alabama. I have been on this site for about 4 weeks and have enjoyed the posts, differing opinions. and frankness of some of the responses. Since I didn't introduce myself I guess I am a violator. I thought the profile would provide all that a intro would do. With the knowledge base of the members, I should be able to make this vehicle into how I want it at this time without having alot of boxes of parts that don't work, but were marketed greatly, or head in the wrong direction since my plan looked good on paper. I am broadshouldered and can take the verbal abuse for asking things that I should have researched myself or maybe I should have known. Feel free to take your best shot if you think I need it. I am hoping to get to a few events in the area and meet some of the fellow HAMBER's in person.
