After searching for almost 2 years I found the car I was looking for and it was worth the wait. I bought the car about 3 months ago and have put about 500 miles on it. The car runs great. Many of you have seen the car here on the HAMB before, I bought it from fellow HAMBER Kevin Silva of Austin. Now that I have the car, I can't wait to finish the inside and complete the canvas top. I would like to thank my buddy Tom (gasheat) for sharing his knowledge of cars and helping me make the right choice. This is a brief story about how I acquired the car. My wife and I drove to Austin to look at the car. After seeing the car and visiting with Kevin, I was really interested but still a little undecided. My buddy Tom told me that when I saw the car I wanted - I would know it. I just didn't really realize at the time - that statement was so true. I did some more thinking and talking to Tom. Then, I took the plunge and placed a bid on the car, which took it to the reserve price - all I could hope at that point is no one else placed a bid. I remained high bidder for a while, but someone else bid - boy was I disappointed to see, I had been outbid. I let my wife know I was out bid and since I had bid more than I really wanted to spend, I was finished. After the auction was over, I looked to see who won the car and where it was going. To my surprise, the 34 FORD was coming to my garage! My wife was in her office bidding on the car during the last few seconds and she bought the car, I guess that's why we've been together for almost 30 years. By the way, I have a great wife and I love her.

That is a great coupe. We really miss having it around the shop! There are some pics of the chop on our website if you want to check them out. When bob ground the paint off to chop it, it was really amazing how clean that car was. That body is one of the nicest I've seen.
Congratulations! Hope to see you around.....glad to see it's still in Texas.

It is hard to find a neat car like that one for sale. Nothing wrong with that one, you and your wife made a good choice.

    Hello All,
Just to cover any potential misunderstanding regarding the bidding on the car. I was outbid on the car by someone else. My wife placed a bid in the last few seconds of the auction and I won it.
    Thanks for the postings.
