Someone cut the top open on a convertible I usta own and stole my driving gloves and Levi Jacket.
****ed up a good top and the door was un****inglocked!
Thieves broke a window out of my MGB GT to steal a $70.00 "Al&Ed's special" radio... THe ****ing window cost more than the radio!
That was the third radio in a year. there's still a hole in the console with wires hanging out where the radios came out, I gave up! That was 18 years ago... Id still cut their ****ing hands off if I caught them!
The Arabs got that punishment right!

probably methheads thinking they could sell it for s****, if it looks like it's copper or br***,glue it down, with epoxy, then rivet it down, I saw on the news the tweekers were even stealing br*** plaques off of headstones to sell for s****. and off of monuments.

Unfortunately true on the cemetary stuff. The suburban Chicago cemetary my parents and relatives are at has had most of the bronze flower urns stolen. The replacements are now plastic. Special place in hell for those types.

I can't remember the name of the race they run those cars in, they have a certain low budget and all kinds of goofy junkers enter,it's an endurance race. I have friends who have raced in it, the most fun you can have with junk.

Nope and it wasn't a cheap one either, I'm not sure what if anything else is missing. I've been pissed off enough about it that I didn't even say anything until now. But it ****s... of course now that I think of it, I haven't seen my timing tag from the Drags either. I need to check on that.

    zman, that is upsetting....

elwood, sorry about your plate, thats stupid too. I can't believe that someone would take it off of your car... I mean, it's got your name on it! When I had my T, I riveted it to the dash, only way to get it off there was to drill it off. Sad to say but the only thing to keep people honest is a lock....

Ryan would probably hook you up with a replacement if you shot him a PM

I'm glad you mentioned that. I have 'rivet gun' on my short list, and presently my alliance badge is screwed down.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I really wanted to prominently display my badge as well, but feared the same outcome, even with it screwed down. It looks pretty cool, and in Baltimore, anything cool and shiny is guaranteed to be ******ed up!

Haha, that **** but it reminds me, a friend of mine was drilling the firewall on his 'A' to attach his plaque, and apparently forgot he'd hidden his battery up under the cowl. Next thing ya know acid is leaking all over the place.

Finally, something I can agree with DrJ. Removal of a hand will make a first time thief think long and hard about doing it again. Removal of the second one will make it damn hard to steal. Third offence and you'll never steal anything again in this life.

He didn't work for a van conversion outfit in the mid 80's did he? I bought one as a parts rig for my tow rig and the people who did the conversion put screws through the floorboard to hold plywood down and right through the top of the gas tank. about a dozen of them.

Small driven rivets would look cool to hold the plate or I think I have seen small machine screws that have a rounded head like a rivet.

Man, I know the feeling. One day last summer I went out, jumped on the bike for a quick run to the grocery store. Got to the light and some fellow pulls up alongside and says "do you know you do not have a tag?". Sure enough, someone had stolen my tag the night before. And to make things worse, he got two speed camera tickets the very first week which came straight to me since the MVA info hadn't worked it's way through the system So, in addition to having to fight the normal crowd a the MVA and pay for new tags, I now had to go to the MVA, get the information that I had reported the tags stolen BEFORE the tickets were issued, and mail that to both jurisdictions where the tickets were issued. I mean hello, it's a speed camera. The tag is issued to an 04 Yamaha cruiser and now it is on a sport bike of some sort. I'm just hoping I pull up along side this guy one day before he ditches my tag and steals another.
