Well they earned there stripes or rust. But there being cared for, for the most part. Better then setting in a yard (yea well I gona fix it up soon) and hes been saying that for 20+yrs. Mine needs some paint but it looks good just the way she is, she's 80 and that aint bad. Iceman
heres a few, all of these are mine or were mine at one time, i like original paint! my 34 p/u cab hood and grille are weathered by mother nature, i built the box and weathered that, and my buddies wife put the lettering on the doors. jeff
I just got this '39 chevy cab and I dont plan on changing it. But I do need to find a front end for it.
i dont wanna paint it..but for my LAST RIDE i might..but till then the original is still cool and pruuty but i did give it a bath before hitting the road..all original and purrs like a kitten
Here is my '39 that was painted in the late 40's 05 early 50's. Patina is nice but shiny paint is nicer.
Here's a couple pictures of my truck. I did have to paint the grille shell, firewall and tailgate. I bought the 34 from a guy the had owned it since 1967 and It mostly just sat outside. When people ask - what color are you going to paint it? I say it's finished and their eyes roll around for awhile. Go ahead and let me have it. Thoughts on stance, wheel and tire choice, whatever. Thanks Gary
Here are a couple more. I messed up on the last post. When I had it striped the guy just looked and me kind of funny. After he cleaned and felt around on it, he said he could "feel the love". P.S. we welded approx 85 holes shut on that firewall to save it. Gary
