Could someone please PhotoChop a gull-wing A coupe? Something this wrong just has to be seen, if for no other reason than to serve as a warning.

I think its the squareness of the door and the way it hangs that make it look wrong, not to mention they didnt come that way.
to each his own, I can relate to the amount of work it would take to get it to work out right and not be a PITA..
I dont think i would like the access issues for the back seat p***engers.

came close to doing it years ago but seemed like getting in and out would have been a pain, oddly years later i built a car with m***ive chop and channel and didn't mind getting in it.....

that sedan looks pretty good with the doors shut, looks like someone did a good job there, has an odd angle when opened though

Why spend time on a project when the end result doesn't make the car look better or go faster?
You already going to be investing a lot of time in your build

Yea 32 3 window coupes are not popular at all! They look like street rods.

Are you kidding? I think suicide doors are ***s, and have been on early fords since the beginning.

You're right Hotrob, suicide doors ARE the ***s! I know, I got a set on my Es*** (factory). However, I only like them on cars that came with them originally.

Nope, seen one open at 60mph peeled back like a can opener.Luckily p***enger was wearing seat belt. Only would consider it for a show only car to get trophies. Goofy idea for the street. Sorry but thats may 2c worth.

  24. Why expend a lot of effort at this stage of the build?

Build the car and once it's up and running . . . if you still want suicide doors, do em.

The basic build is gonna consume a lot of time.

And, you're not gonna gain much in the 'zowie' dept.

Better to spend the time and money on the engine.

Supposed to be a hot rod, right?

  25. And I Quote you, "bet iv been messen with that door for a month". So my thought is if you are having that much trouble with pieces that were designed to work on your car, How much more trouble will you have making something work that you half to start from scratch on? My advice would be to get a Buddy that has not been involved with your problem come help you from a different point of View. It has to be body shim, bad rust repair, bent hinges, or a damaged door. Even if you go with suicide doors you will still half to repair what ever the origional problem is.

I need to replace all the hinges and latchs in my coupe and was thinking that a suicide set up would also ***ist getting in and out of an A coupe that is chopped and channeled. I am not at all concerned about how the car looks like with the door open as it will be a driver, not show queen.

So for those that have tackled this job on an 30 A coupe, any chance you can post some pics of what you did...

Who cares what others think! Build it the way YOU want...It's that simple.
