Harry's '33 coupe must have a very interesting engine.... Yup! A nice lady told me she thinks she knows why all the young blokes like flatheads. It's because they have shiney nuts. Next time you see Ben's ch***is, it'll have a roadster body hiding all the mechanical bits. The Caddy tailamps in Arthur's Chubby are both unique and cl***y, but I think he needs to lower it some more. And finally, proof that the right stance and wheels are all you need to make any car just right.
**** Me!! I can,t beleive Wayne finally got the chopped panel back together. It was in pieces when I moved here in 92 and it was still in pieces but painted black when I came back for Al Maric,s funeral 5 years ago. About time. Looks better black than orange
looks like a great show with some nice rides, but why are these australian shows always held in remote locations, any city shows happen?
Remote? It's only an hour and a bit up the road. That's not far to travel. Any more pics of lowsquire's ch***is? That thing is looking amazing. I could almost blame Wayne O'Grady for getting me into this whole hot rod problem we all seem to share. He used to live up the road from me and not far from a good friend's house. I drove past one day and saw the back of the panel sticking out of this little one car garage. Me being me, I just stopped the car and went and said hello and introduced myself. Wayne gave me a funny look, the kind of look that says: "What the **** do you want you long-haired bogan?" These days we greet each other as old mates, although we only catch up every couple of years and it's usually on an oval near Castlemaine surrounded by hot rods. Damn I wish I could have made it over for this show.
Hey Boris, Frank and I were talking and were both glad you didn't come, means I didn't have to an engine swap at some ungodly hour. Were sure your jinxed! car ran up and back didn't miss a beat. you missed a good show, but you know that.
I bought this out to Australia a couple of years ago...A Ebay purchas...kept it for a year and moved it on...
i think this was taken just after i gave him the old franks and beans for breakfast hope i didnt stain the gl*** on the val chops
Only made it on the Saturday but was by far the best show Ive been to, soo many nice cars and came back totally inspired. That single spinners departure was something else! My buddy who owns a bobber was tripping on the guy riding this bike at about 160 with no helmet! coming for the weekend next year with my pickup.
Like a dumb*** I forgot my camera, but snapped these 2 pics of one of the vultures guys effy which I liked alot
Here are some Pics of lowsquire's masterful work. It almost seems like a shame to be putting a body over this work and hiding it.
yeh that was us, the trump shook both ****tail shakers off just outside castlemaine and the tailight bracket broke loose on the way home which is where you past us saw you fang by, was a deisel powered engine on the trailer that over turned on the freeway deisel all over the road took us 45mins to get through it
Great pics..did anyone take a pic of the chopped yellow 54 Cusso seen in the background of some shots,it looks like my old car?
Had a great weekend. Good people, cars, weather and a feed of bullboars, what more could you want. I took a few pics although most are repeats of those already shown but try and get some up tonight. Congrats to the Ford brothers and the rest of the chopped team. That guy on the Trump was certainly prepared for the cold, I saw him piling on overalls and jackets as you guys were getting ready to leave. We left not that long after but didn't see any of the traffic on the Calder, must have been cleaned up already.
anyone get pics off the effy that was matte black and gold flames? was leaving when i got there sunday.
My kids shot these while I was talking to Justin. Never met him before. Good guy it seems. Nearly had a disaster on his way to the show. He literally almost drove the wheels off that thing. Lucky save. In the bed And an artsy one trying to shoot the interior through gl***
Well he showed up in the morning expecting to just roll out in the pontiac with me and my brother but the temptation to ride his bike that we'd just ironed out for him was too great so he grabbed some overalls and rode up he bought a jacket at the show because they got drowned on the way up. nothing like a ride to newstead as a shakedown run. thanks to the guys that offered jacks and support so we could fix the flat on the pontiac too
damn, that's what it was, saw it turn up and though I better wander over and have a look at what it actually was, but never got there... photos anyone?
what's the matter with kids these days huh? you'd think they would show the old *******s how it's done. i'm not sure who was luckier that window doesn't wind up or down.. awesome fun weekend, huge thanks to them chopped boys for the event and for Milk Crate Man.. get him back next year
He may take it to Johns, so you can see it there, but if not it will be in his car for next year................. hope :/
