101_5745.jpg Great pix, Eric....as usual! I agree with your statement ---especially the hope to never see again part! ...But when that many cars are in our backyard, you gotta go! I went Friday afternoon for a few hours and tons of the cars you shot were not there yet. They must have reached their goal of 2000 cars.
When I saw your truck there, I pretty well kept my camera in my pocket cause I knew you would be getting great shots but here are a few of mine.

I still hate the visor on that car, but it is a huge improvement from last year for sure.

Maybe the coolest thing about Good Guys Dallas is having the Nascar cars zoom around the track while you are checking out rods. The Limo is something I had not seen before!! Is that the car of tomorrow they talk about!?! Hope not!
I love the picture of the 32 5 window in the foreground with the Nascar thingy zooming by in the background. If I had only gotten in closer and larger...

Holy cow! I can't believe they did that in a year! Thanks for the file foto, Eric. I would not have looked at it twice last year. Kind of makes me embarrased about the stuff I got sitting around that goes for years unchanged or updated!

Thanks for the photos, Eric! Always great to see the green Pinkee's '32, love that car.

Remember that R&C article from a few years back, with ideas/sketches to build hot rods out of '60s and '70s pickups? :)

  11. Thanx for the coverage, this is an amazing show with a super variety of rides. My favorite is the blue 57 Plymouth 2-dr Suburban, but I am a little MoPar biased. Looking good Danny!! Hooked on MoPar suburbans!! ~Sololobo~

Thank you for the pictures, I was there all day also and agree with the previous poster, for an hour or two there were way to many people to make it enjoyable. Overall it was a good show but not up to the quality of cars compared to the last couple of years but still one of my favorite shows. It would be good if they could seperate the muscle cars from the rods, just my dumb as opinion. Thanks for the Pictures.

Looks like an 68-72 Ford F100 if you ask me, I appreciate all the work it took to build this thing but not much of a COOL factor. I know y'all were waiting for my opinion on this.

Hey Eric.. How did you do on the course? Killer pics as always and my 2 favs has to be the Green sedan and the gold flake top 57. Hated missing it, but taking my girls to a concert and hockey the next night kind of left me no time.

Great pictures, Thanks for posting.......Like the mint green 55 in your album.

  22. Regards the gold.. uh.. probably was around a '70 Ford pickup once-upon-a-time thing (I don't have to picture it AGAIN do I ???), maybe its another one we'll comment on NEXT YEAR as to what an improvement it will be. Give the guy a break and for now let's all fuhgedaboudit!!!! I like the color.

It wasn't all that wet today, but it still frightened everyone away. Got a chance to see and shoot some more stuff I didn't get to on Saturday.

I'll start with the "interesting" one first. Hey, at least he wasn't afraid of getting a little wet...

These things weren't comfortable in school, I don't know how they could be any better in a car.

Ignore the wheels. Pretend they are Cragars or something. This is a very nice car with a spot-on stance and great color combination...

Ok....I was wrong about the green car being the only previously un-seen car that blew me away. This one was extremely nice....

  27. I was one of those who didn't show up today... but I did go see "Zombieland" instead which has a funny line about Garland, Tx.

Congrats on the suede and chrome pic, totally deserved.

I can confirm Dusty built this from a 67 Ford Truck based on the Taylor sketch from R&C. He built it really well and finished it at about 2pm on Friday. He also built the Diamond T that won the Top 10 and a Builders choice award.
I guess showrods aren't for everybody.

Thank You Mike for posting that, there are not to many people who see a drawing in a magazine and buy a piece of shit and build it. That is exactly why he does not even look at this. (The Diamond T he also built, won the builders choice award). Please post your winners.

  30. Any pics of the diamond T?
