way off topic, but... need help for a friend on LI, NY

there is this lady i know from work who asked me to help her with her pride and joy, it's some old metalflake blue/ paisley vw dune buggy.
i thought it was pretty kool from the pic she had of it... real 70's style. anyways she is having problems w/ the car and was curious if anyone out east on long island can help her out... she is willing to pay. the car is located in sag harbor. let me know.

thanx bro, i would help out if i knew more about vw's ... also its a bit of a drive from levittown, not to mention i am still knee deep in my project. i will check that forum out.

I live in Bellmore, Grew up working for my dad in a VW repair shop, Ironicly he used to build Dune buggies ( plus 2 **** dean shalako's) in the late 60's into the 70's I just picked up a 1957 oval window for myself. If its old Vw i can fix it

I cant tell from the picture to be sure, but it looks like one of The Pacers Sandcats. Pacers Automotive in Oceanside were big in the dune buggy business on LI.
