Stock, a Y comes in at about 625 pounds give or take.

I have a 292 going in my Studebaker. Got an Offy three duece & a pair of Offy valve covers for it. But don't let that fool you- interest is dwindling on Y's!! Send me your junk..... [IMG]

I love the 312 that is in my coupe. It's been on the road about a year and a half, and was a well used engine when I got it. I've done 17,000 miles on it since then, and it still runs good. I'll probably start putting another y-block together soon to replace it with a fresh one. I wouldn't replace it with anything else. It is runnig an edelbrock 3x2, vertex magneto, and is backed by a Mustang t5 overdrive.

I ran a six carb Y block in a T bucket years ago. Real strong motor. I know where the nmotor is but the guy won't part with it. I would love to replace the 302 in my '55 with another Y block. A friend has a 312 on the way from America and I am thinking of mating that to my AOD.

That injection is sooooo cool. Glad to see you actually using it! My old Latham supercharged Y block g***er just sold on Ebay again today. I love those motors.

This is my 3rd Y. Runs hard, sounds good, not a sbc. It didn't cost that much, Honey, really.
