A couple of years ago at Hershey they had about a dozen pre-war delivery trucks and they were all very cool.

  3. That's a cool site, been there and have it bookmarked.
I used to work, along with outher young teens for like 6 bucks a night, with milkmen on their routes. I would think, man, this would make a neat hot rod.
If anyone ever got milk deliveries and wondered where your sprinkers, flamingoes and lawn art went, look in your milkman's garage. LOL That's why I stopped working with them after 3 weeks, that and soaking wet sneakers every night, that ice was cold!

There are several Divco's around here that have been rodded. I sold a friend of mine lots of running gear for his a few years ago and it turned out nice enough that someone offered him lots more than he was in it recently, so it went away. There is still a warehouse in Chicago with most every new Divco part available.

Thanks for posting the link. The last time I saw a Divco actually working and making deliveries was in the mid 90's in Northern NJ. I didn't realize that they made the trucks into the 1980's. Cool little trucks.

First job I had when I got out of the Army in 1967 was a milkman for Urbana Pure Milk in Urbana,Ill. Things sure tasted better in those glass bottles and more butter fat instead of the watered down stuff we have now days sure helped too.It was kind of hard at first driving that Divco since you had to stand up to drive one,a lot of weird ,fun stories came out of doing that job.:D
