anyone got any pics of fenderless model a sedan with slotted mags? i was thinking about picking up a set cause a guy here in town has some cheap.
All cars look good with slotted aluminum wheels as long as they're not the same size wheel and tire all the way around.
any pics without a narrowed rear end and tubbed? maybe something a little less prostreet and more traditional.
7's look very wide on the front of Model A's but if they are cheap enough and you just want to get it rolling, the lug nuts come off so you can always switch them later.
Thanks! The fronts are 15x5's with 560-15 Firestone Bias Plies and the rears are 15x7's with 820-15 Firestones to match.
Get em. You can always change later. 7" x 14" work ok on highboys. It'll make the tires look a bit wide, but no real probs. I ran 7" wides on the front of my 32 highboy roadster for a couple of years. Went to a pair of 6" x 14" with the same tires, almost the same wide look. Then I swapped my pal a pair of five spokers for a pair of 5 1/2" x 14" slots and went to a slightly smaller tire. Looks pretty good right now. And . . . if I ever get the final cleanup finished on one wheel I have a pair of 4 1/2" x 15" slots that are going on the front of the 32. Not doin' the radials vs bias bit here, but if you want radials and do some looking you can find them in narrow sizes. The pair shown on the 31 are on 5" x 15" steelies. This last pic also shows the 32's 5 1/2" wheel and 24" tall tire. As does this one. (The 32 has 34 Ford small size re-pro caps adapted to the slot mags.) The 32 with 5" wide steelies and a narrow radial tire. Shows what a big difference tires make to the look of a car. Some very nice A sedans posted above. Kudo's.
