The last i knew of this car, it was being preserved in Hackettstown NJ in 2008. Does anyone happen to know how far along the progress is now and possible photos of Miss Belvedere.

If your talking about the time capsule Plymouth:(, it's probably not happening....the car had so much rust the cost of rebuild would be astonishing!

They were not rebuilding it, they were "cleaning" it with some chemical that cleans off all the **** that was on it for lack of a better word..More so just to preserve how it was without it getting any worse, if that's possible.
I'd like to know as well.
I'm sure there's a web site that show's it's progress. I remember looking at a link that was posted on here a little while ago showing some progress, but can't remember what it was, sorry.

I saw in a Mopar parts magazine that they are cleaning it and will replace the broken frame. Said they were trying to preserve it...They also said they wanted to here the engine run again

That was a car once upon a time, now it is a solid pile of rust junk.Like Boyd said to Duane when they brought it up out of it's grave on tv. You could read his lips, IT"S a piece of ****,junk.

They did as best as they could to stabilize it. I actually think it turned out better than I thought it would after seeing it in 2007. Here is a picture from a June 2009 posting.

    Man clean those darn whitewalls....

Actually does look pretty good. I was there for the weekend of fun...seen it with all the dripping **** on it. If they would of washed all the OK muck off of it, it would of been a lot easier to clean. It was the OK muck that after it hardened make it so difficult. But the metal is pretty thin.

I still shake my head when i see the pics of it. To think it IS a brand new car and in that shape.....
It really is a shame..it would have been killer had it survived.

Thanks patrick66 for the link, was wondering what happened to the old girl...
I was there in Tulsa at the unveiling (exhumation), and you could tell right then that poor car had no chance in hell of ever getting on the road again. Damnit!

  16. Wow, it almost looks as good as the one I got out of a junkyard up here 5 years or so back.

Was that the one out of Green's? if so, yep, pretty close :D

  18. No, I don't know who got that one but I wish I'd looked at it closer because it was a V8 manual trans car. I'm not sure if it ever left. The one I had was the same color even, gold with white spear and top. The $300 car I'd sold the wings off from for $600 before I even hauled the car out...

The one at Greens was rough. IF it came out, i highly doubt it was on one piece. Sad. It was at one time a cool car.
It did resemble the one from Tulsa, but was actually a bit better overall!
