Is it harder ***ling an early T? I heard they are ***led differently? Is it more of a motor registration, or am I misguided?

  2. "most" Ts had sequential motor numbers only. 15 million and change. Replacement engines had a blank pad and were sold into the 40s. You do the math.

Lots of threads here already, dig through the search for more info.

from what i understand there is a id number casting on the motor. ford also used id tags on the vehicle on t's. i am currently trying to register mine as a 1922 model t touring. it is a NY state vehicle registration from 1923. i guess the NY DOT gave some company that built tow behind trailers in the mid 70's permission to use old registration numbers as vin numbers for their trailers. so in my case with the registration number im using, its gonna be a pain!
