Well I finally signed up. I'm currently working on my '55 chevy wagon. It started life as a 210 4 door Townsman, but boredom got the best of me and my plasma cutter and welder were a little too close.... now its a two door sedan delivery. Add a set of 2door sedan doors, move the post back a few inches, skin the rear doors and add some sheet metal & what do ya know instant sedan delivery. I love to build anything I can get my hands on. Nothing is more satisfying than dragging home a pile of rust and turning out something cool. I look forward to talking and learning all I can.
Thanks, I'm in Largo (tampa/Clearwater area). Love the straight axle look! Thats where I really want to go now that she's a delivery. I just need to keep looking for an affordable straight axle swap. New kits are a little too pricey and I'd really rather scrounge up an original set up and fab it myself anyway. my wife and friends say I'll ruin it but screw 'em, I just tell them anyone can restore one, but a real man cuts one up!
largo, used to live there - look up 4t64rd (mike) he lives there and is a member of the Poor Boys him and some of the other Tampons will have some parts or know where.
If you find your way south about 45 minutes - I'm off of exit 220 on 75. Have beer on tap most of the time. Just send me an email.
Thanks guys. Dixiedog, I'll do that, I've got a wild hare to start the straight axle swap Scott Danforth, that doesn't sound bad at all, I work in manatee so I drive the 40 mins daily
LARGO!!! I think that makes 3 of us, and I haven't seen Sleestak Jones on here in a LONG time... I'm off East Bay and Highland...
