Walt where are you my friend? Are we doing the HAMB parking again this year?
lets see a show of Hands of who will be attending and parking in the HAMB parking if we can still get it again
I know the speedway is doing some renavations and several areas are closed off this year.

To all our car club friends,

Due to the Speedway renovation in the infield we will not be able to honor any requests regarding existing spaces this year. We will not know about available parking areas until approximately October. Lake Lloyd will probably not be available to show cars, and the playground might not be accessible. As of now, we need to use space we KNOW we have available. Therefore, we will probably use the space between turns 3 and 4 for clubs and general show car parking.

I will take your club renewals if you would still like to park together. However, I will not be able to send out maps until October - Please keep in mind that with all the new areas being set up in the infield, we will have some wonderful new areas for cars next year. I will hold your club payments until October and submit them when I know I can guarantee each club a spot.

Please feel free to contact me - email is the easiest- since my husband and I are usually not home from work til around 8 at night and you REALLY DON’T want to depend on my daughters to convey any messages

I hope you will bare with us this year, it’s still going to be a great run and next year will be absolutely awesome.

    Thanks,
Patt Jeffries - club parking committee head

Your club can reserve a place to park together for 2004 with your club name on a sign in that area. The fee is $2.00 per car.
    15 SPACES MINIMUM !

Send a check payable to Daytona Beach Street Rods for amount of vehicles x $2.00 ea. with the name of your club, contact person and return address. This must be sent in one check, not individually.
    IMPORTANT!

Due to overwhelming response the following changes are being made for club parking:

    1. I do not need your registrations or numbers, I TRUST YOU.
    • If you need 15 spaces, please order 15 spaces.
    • Parking in the Playground area will be chosen on a lottery basis from Club Parking registrations received by August 1, 2004.
    • If clubs take advantage of getting more space than they need we may have to do away with club parking. We had participants parking on the backstretch at 10 am on Friday and Saturday last year. It's unfair to have them park outside if there is space inside.
    • If your space is not occupied by 10:30 am on each day of the show it will be used for general car show parking.

    2. Club parking will be limited to 3 areas only.
    • The Playground RV Area
    • Lake Lloyd behind the Swap Meet
    • The Tunnel Compound
    • When these spaces are filled club parking will be closed.

    3. Because of space constraints we will need to raise the club parking minimum to 15 or more cars. Due to new roads being added in the infield we no longer mandate where you park when you get to the field. We only close a field when it's full. If you have less than 15 cars you will probably be able to find a small area to meet on the outside of the horseshoe area.

    4. The parking fee per car you are charged is for setting up your space and the expense incurred with setting it up, not for patrolling your individual space. If you would like to keep other people out of your space you need to have someone from your club in the space when our gates open at 7am each day of the show. We have a limited number of members on our crew and are not able to control who parks in the spaces during the show.

    5. All requests for Club Parking must be in no later than October 15th, 2004.

    Send payment to:
Daytona Beach Street Rods, Inc. c/o Patt Jeffries
1629 Lockhart Street - South Daytona, FL 32119

Or call: Patt Jeffries at (386)761-0281
(7 to 10 pm eastern time only please)

Aww Hell I'll be on the other side of it - I might as well drag the rough as a corncob 61 down too. May even throw the shop name on the sides and the cooker in the back.

  9. There's about 5 or 6 of us coming from PA. We had a blast last year and hope it's a go again for this year.

  12. No, I mean ROUGH, I'll probably not have enough time to do much more wheels, tires and throw a coat of primer over the P.O.S.
My first priority is getting it safe and reliable enough to get me there and back. [IMG] Then the bodywork and interior.

Ok heres the deal. We have HAMB parking.its really in the boondocks. About as far away from the swap meet as you can get. there will be a shuttle bus to get you to the swap area. they say it will be on the bottom of turn 3 along the track. I will have the exact location soon. There will be no parking along Lake Loydd.

they say its really nice out there...... But whatever thats what we have because of the construction.

In the boondocks, far from from everybody else sounds pretty good to me. BTW, I can't go on Thanksgiving Day itself, I've got family coming in, the weekend's all open.

I will be there Thursday afternoon. I have parked with the Whiners Club for the last 8 years and will do so again this year. According to the letter I got last Saturday, the only club parking left is in the #3 and #4 turns right under the track.
So I will definitely look for The Hamb parking and look some of you guys up.
