Just saw this and thought I'd share. Here's the link to the full article on Mooneyes' site: http://www.mooneyes.com/sto/nooz/2009/1007/bill-jenks-1930-2009/
In my mind, he was Moon..... R.I.P. Had the pleasure of speaking with him two years ago while spinning a new tank, one kool guy......
Boy, that speed shop in Heaven has yet another master on staff. A great old guy. Crusty and grumpy, just like I like them. R.I.P. Bill
We lost another hero and gained another legend. RIP Prayers to his familia and cheers to the heavens!!!
the article said he retired last Month! Last Month! Can you believe that? I hope I'm still working at 79. What a legend....R.I.P. Mr Jenks. You've had a profound impact on more peoples lives than you will ever know.
He sat down and had lunch with me and a friend at the SEMA show in 1997. What a guy. Now Barney Navarro has a playpal. RIP
What a neat man . . . he kept the "Potvin" name and a lot of other old time cams alive and kicking. I used to see him when Reath and I went to haggle with Moon (in the 70's) . . . he was always working his ass off while Moon was busy talking
Sorry, didn't really think of it like that. I was commenting more on the fact that he was physically able to work. Not the reasons why. I thought he was still working because he loved it.
damn!! seems like all the good ones are leaving us, there's gonna be alot of big shoes to be filled... R.I.P MR. JENKS
