I took a vacation to the family dairy farm in Vermont this summer and took some pictures of the vehicles stashed in the woods on the 400 acre plot. The farm was honored by the state of Vermont with a Centenarian Award in 2006 for one hundred years of continuous operation as a diary farm.

A few of the farm trucks actually in use. The '65 F600 is the "shit truck," the "Silver Fox" (O/T '78 F150) was the first truck my uncle bought new and my cousin uses it as a commuter, '52 Willys is used to repair fences...

This one isn't ours but was taken in front of the diner in the village. The owner was a cool old man out for sunday breakfast at the only place to eat in town. '29 sport coupe. nice resto, original banger and mechanical brakes

I'd love to have this stuff too! The '56 is used as storage and I've got to respect the family scrap pile. They've been farmin that same plot for years and use/reuse/keep everything just in case. Just thought I'd share.

if it's your family see if they will part with some of the really old stuff and explain there are people who want to put it to good use again so it's not wasted.

they're nice with a lil patina to them. I'm gonna leave them right there until I need them, and then I get to haggle with my cousin about it!

One day a stranger will come up and ask about the Junk pile and it will be gone to the crusher and there goes your headlights.
I understand your being respectful but dont wait til something is gone to ask about it.

I'm being a little over dramatic calling it a "scrap pile." It is out in the woods away from the shop but my uncle knows what's there. It's not visible from the road and the area is extremely isolated anyway. A stranger would have to be really far out of his way to ask about that stuff.

Not now, the whole internet knows. There are people searching Google Earth maps right now and hunting your uncles phone number. And the first item for sale is those BLC headlights. Steven.
