Yeah, I know. That creates a little problem. I decided to go to Gene's instead of the Reunion this year, as I figure I can always hit Drag Fest or the March Meet later on, even if it isn't exactly the same.

But a Winfield and Watson event is a pretty rare thing. So I'm going.

 

I am going to the Reunion on Friday and Saturday then to Winfields on Sunday...fun packed weekend...

Just called Gene - he said the green flyers had the wrong date on them. The actual date is Sunday, Oct 11 like Cooter said.

The show is on my wedding anniversery, but I'm going anyway.

 

Attached correct date. We're coming out the Thurs. before, we're going to try & vist as many places,shops as we can. I'm coming out with "East Coast Artie","Mikey Boy", "Howie", "Zeke" & "Nubs" from "Orange County Choppers". All you stripers & painters bring your stuff, Artie's running an auction for charity,
should be fun! We want to meet all HAMBers.
PS , changed hotels, staying in Lancaster.

 

I started making plans to go to Gene's show on my way home from last years event! I'll be flying out from Illinois. This years show promises to be even better than last years. Gene said they have made room for more cars inside the fence (there were 85 last year). I'm counting the days!

HHR is the weekend after

 

will be there. anyone that went last year? any signs or land marks close by to help find it? how early does the line start to get in? weather gods say it will be in upper 70's during day with about 11 MPH wind 50 overnite

 

I will be there in my Riviera if I can get the driveshaft fixed in time. Anyone know what time to get there in order to get a spot inside the gates?

 

Trust me you can't miss it. There is not much on the Sierra Highway between Mojave and Rosamond but Gene's shop and open desert.

If you are coming from Hwy 14 from Mojave, take the Backus (pretty sure I spelled that wrong) road exit and turn left. It wil end at the Sierra Highway. When you get there turn right, and it's maybe...maybe 3/4 miles down the road from there. It will be on the right, because there isn't anything on the left but railroad tracks.

I am leaving Long Beach at 7:30am anyone want to cruise up together???

 

Remember if you park along side the road make sure to park off the pavement the CHP was all over everyone last year!

 

It is a great show. But there is NOTHIN out there so bring a cooler of your preferred beverages and food!

People... This show is gonna kick ***... Remember to ask about the "after party" at Deluxe auto trim... This should keep you jumping until the wee hours of the morning..
