I had an old set of magnesium spindle mounts I wanted to put on it, but the old man wouldn't let me, as he wanted to keep the front brakes so it was streetable.

I did learn though, that the front drums from the A100 van are identical to the factory front brakes that were on the car. In fact, All of that stuff on the car now, was pulled off the car when it came apart, and someone had recently done the brakes, so all of the used parts went right back in!

    Hopefully they work....

That car is *****in!!! Nicely done, thanx for showing all the detailed work. Now lets see some pics of it at the track. Like the barracuda next to it too, looks like it could have a flat black front end like how the hurst cars came out? Gotta love the mopars!!

Yep, thats a super stock clone. When we couldn't figure out what color to paint it, it ended up like hurst sent them out. Instead of just leaving it primer, we had the paint shop make up some actual flat grey paint, that appears to be primer. Its alot easier to take care of though, and doesn't soak up moisture like primer.

Landy's 64 ran a narrowed A-100 beam axle it's still under the car to this day.

Yep, it'll hold. The axle was split, 2 inches removed, then a fixture was made to hold the ends of the beam, making sure they were perfectly lined up. The ends were beveled, the material was pre-post heated for welding, then the welds were ground smooth.

I'd me more worried about the sliced and diced unibody turning into a big taco from the torque of the engine!

    Exceptional work!

  20. Those '65 altered wheel base Dodges and Plymouths have always been my favorites. Absolutly stunning work. I was just looking at my copy of the June 1965 Super Stock & Drag Illustrated magazine and they did a nice comparison of **** Landy's Dodge and Butch Leal's Plymouth. Looking at the side view in the mag and the one you posted you got the wb right on. Great job and hope to see more soon.

Thanks guys! Hopefully we'll have the computer, and fuel system parts for the injection setup pretty soon. We need to install the high pressure pump, and return line, along with hiding the EFI computer and wiring under the dash somewhere. Even though its pretty easy to see the fuel rails on the 8-stack, we're trying to keep as much of the EFI stuff hidden as possible.

We talked about running a mechanical setup for awhile, but he wants to drive this car on the street. He had a Kinsler mechanical injection setup on a Charger before, and it was a bear to tune. So, for drivability we're running the Kinsler EFI 8-stack setup.

If you guys are ever working on some custom fuel injection, whether its electronic, or mechanical, give Kinsler a call, they know their stuff!
