Thanks.. but I was hoping for a bit more overview photo showing the effect of the bumper on the rest of the side of the car.

I did a quick photoshop. I agree the bumper has to be lowered to make it
look like it should have been there. The Buick is a big car and it needs to
have a front end to match the original design.

I like the direction that your going just keep after it.

Thanks again for all the help guys.Gonna flip flop my butt back out to the shop has we speak and drop that bumper.Should be able to post pic's in a couple hours

  6. It looks great, good work. I would lower the bumper a few inches, like Stude said, maybe even add a small strip to the bottom of the fenders.

My .02 likes the last photo shop drop. I look forward to seeing this live and in person. Will you make LSR with it? And do you still have your sedan?

Funny, you say "Dagmars" to me and I think of our local weather hottie Dagmar Midcap:

Gonna butt in here. You have it sitting on a lift and so are not looking at it from a normal perspective. The angle you shot the last picture with the hood on is way low (you would have to be laying on the ground to see it from that angle) and makes the bumper look higher than it will look from a standing or even kneeling position.

Nice, but it's easy to see why this one inspired the name.

Oh, and that bumper looks MUCH better lower.

  11. The lower bumper looks right on the money. Buick are such cool cars. Looking fantabulous!!
The weather babe's name is really Dagmar? That's too funny.

This is some good advice.....It is gonna change the look when it is sitting on the ground. I would get it off the lift and then take a look at it.

It is a lot better but still needs to be a little lower, the bumper is too close to the headlight bucket.

    Happy Trails,

I hope that set-up is only temporary...it needs to fit better than it is now...

Nice looking truk BTW...other than that.

I hate to say it, because this would mean an awful lot of work, but I don't think the problem was that the bumper was mounted too high. I think you need to section the bumper. If you sectioned 3/4" or so out of the middle of the bumper I think the lines and relationships would be perfect.

Also, it is misleading to be seeing the car head on from below. The only person who would see the car this way is the poor bastard you are about to run over. Try photographing the car with the wheels on the ground and at a 3/4 angle to the front before you finalize your plans.

  23. hahah, I was about to say the same thing, it looks like it needs to be thinned-out a tad in the center, mainly because it looks so heavy...would love to see 1" taken out via photoshop...i think that a nice clean multiple flat bar grill would not overpower the bumper choice. that bumper makes a statement on it's own and it would be easy to end up with way too much going on up front

Just an opinion, I think a 57 Buick grille would fill the opening great, but it would be a shame to cut one up. I'm sure it would be too wide for your cavity. Again just an opinion
