I saw something similar this morning when I stood up and looked in the bowl.

all we can say for sure is that George Barris will autograph it for 10 bucks.

That´s really wierd, but you could certainly rework it into something a bit more.... er... restrained. You wouldn´t have to have a bad conscience about cutting it up either. It´d be tough to make it worse!

  6. It looks like there should be a giant pink tongue hanging out of the grille like a panting dog. I agree, cowl looks C1 vette, the rest... Ever see a dog turd that's laid out on the lawn so long it turned white? It looks like a bunch of changes done for the sake of making changes.

Just making the grille opening smaller, or lower at least, dumping the fins and redoing the rear wheel arches to be smaller would help it a ton. I don't even mind that half-top, but only if you redo the rear quarters to remind you of like an early '50s Jag or something so it flows. The fins look stuck on, they don't flow.

Headlights could be 57-8 Imperial, they're not 59-up and don't appear to be 60-61 Chrysler. But they could be '59 Chevy buried in those scoops just as easily.

Given what early Vettes go for, it might be worth restoring (!) ...

I like it... Re do it? I think it was finished along time ago, changing it would chage the history it has. Thanks for posting the link. I've contacted the owner

That's funny. My last "found on Craiglist" thread was immediately deleted. Seems arbitrary...

    Anyway freaky car, Man.

I really want to see what this thing looked like when it was built. I think it could have possibly looked much better, not that it doesn`t look good as it sits....but maybe thats just me.

I personally think it has potential...potential to pull the engine and put it in a decent car. Might be some other parts on it too that are desireable. Remember LSD was very popular in the early 60's, might be the inspiration behind it.

Where did it go? The post has been removed. I want some more pictures of this thing!

  17. You know if you got rid of that roof, brought the fins down a tad, chopped the windshield a bit, and lowered it about 3-5 inches, it would still look like shit.

Body is familiar cause I owned a fiberglass roadster years ago. My guess is that it started as a Victress S4 and was poorly modified.
They were manufactured in the sixties and fit an early Pre 1949 Ford chassis. Nice cars in the original Victress configuration.

I think I found the inspiration behind the grill opening.

Will one of you guys explain to me this "flag it off craigslist"? Am I to understand someone can delete an add by objecting to it? Sorry for the hijack, FoMoCoPower, just wondered. Thanks guys.

Yes, top right hand corner of CL add gives you options for flagging an ad. I believe it takes several people flagging an ad for it to actually be taken off.
