All the tires are fine. The installation is fine, but on one tire I see about a 4 inch area that seems like it didn't "seat" into the rim. Is this normal, okay, fine, or does it need to be re-mounted. Please see pics. Also, is it okay to drive ot 2 miles back, or should I take it off?

Also, could you e-mail me at sellingfool@hotmail.com, as my work internet blocks the HAMB. Thx

I'm not a expert but if the tires are brand knew I would have that tire remounted..whats the worst they can say..But if you don't and it blows out or you go some place and it goes flat you will alot worse off...Better safe then sorry..

Might just be my old eyes, but it looks to me that the rim flange is bent inward at that point.

Looks like it might be a mark from the tire machine. Try a scrub brush and bleach white.

Looking at it again, I tend to agree. I would check the flange at this area.-MIKE

I can't see detail in the pics, but....

Some older wheels like 40/48 Ford do not have what is called "beadlocks". Those are the grooves pressed into the rims that make a tire positively "pop" into correct position, plus it helps keep the tire on the bead if the pressure got low.

I have had many issues with getting the tires to seat properly on non-beadlock rims. The rims need to be clean, smooth, and well lubed with tire soap to get them to fit right....even then it's not easy.

Beadlock rims pop right into place every time with no issues.

The tire was cut wrong, Coker sent me a replacement (had to pay for it, free shipping) and they are going to give me my money back when I return the bad tire. Great company.

We had the same problem on our 52 Sedan Delivery...Tried remounting it after cleaning up the wheel rim with the same result. Our guess was the tire was defective. Coker sent us a new one, no questions asked, and it fit just fine on the same wheel the bad one was on.

when you remount it have your tire guy put the wheel wieghts on the backside of the rim. Looks alot cleaner.
